Easily the best name for a sporting team that I have encountered. Built-in branding opportunities with Kraken Rum and built-in fan base with Amy Michelle Gomes.
Kraken, the word in general doesn't really seem to jive with ice hockey..

Will be great fun to do Kelowna to Seattle Bus trips to watch the NHL's newest best cross-border rivalry.
Maybe add a Mariners/Seahawks/Sounders vs Whitecaps game to the itinerary. Vancouver has so much more in common with Seattle than with our decades old (boring) Oilers/Flames rivalry.
